Sony Xperia Arc is a very stylish smart-phone from Sony Ericsson. The 4.2” touch-screen phone comes with the Android OS v.2.3 Gingerbread, which is supported by 1GHz Scorpion processor. Other features are comparable to that of any other smart-phone, but it stands out because of the 8MP camera – I must say, great pictures with awesome quality can be captured.

Official MIUIv4 ROM

As the name suggests, the ROM has MIUI’s beautiful interface along with it. Senior member at XDA, ZduneX25, has come up with this ROM – successfully ported to Xperia Arc. The ROM is based on official Ice Cream Sandwich .431 firmware from Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications. Reviews say that it is working flawlessly on LT15i, without any vexing issues. The ROM has neither rooted, nor does BusyBox come with it. The developer has also claimed that, everything on the phone works with this ROM installed.

KangXperia! Milestone 6 ROM

This ROM had not been ported to Xperia Arc by the developer – Supervenom, Senior member @ XDA – but, he just developed and released the ROM (Later, he ported it to Xperia Arc as he did not have a personal Arc). He had compiled the AOKP from sources – CM9 device & Vendor trees. This ROM is based on the Android OS.v.4.0.4, Ice Cream Sandwich. Almost everything is found working, when installed. To list a few – Camera, Orientation, Touch-screen, Sound, Wi-Fi, USB Debugging, GPS, and more – are working perfectly. Reviews say, it is a smooth & stable ROM. Apart from proper functionality, it has a handsome UI.

Hybrid MooDeD JB-ICS 100.0 ROM

ChaosFirZen, senior member at XDA forum, has developed this ROM and it looks to be a pretty cool one. It has both, the features of Jelly Bean & ICS! – Though the ROM is based on ICS, he has been successful in giving you the taste of Jelly Bean. To list a few applications – Email Client, Jelly Bean’s Font, Face Lock, Gallery, Google Apps, Phase Beam, and more – have been bundled with the ROM. This is basically a fast and stable ROM – as stated by the developer. It has been fully customized & tweaked.

Allesandra AOKP ROM

Senior member @ XDA, davibs, with the help of another member – upervenom – has designed this cool-looking ROM. This ROM is based on AOKP, and promises to deliver high performance along with greater battery life. The ROM includes Network tweaks, Picture Tweaks, Whatsapp application, Boat browser, File Expert, and more. Presently, Camcorder is not working and it will fixed soon.

This ROM is based on AOSP, and further MIUI interface. The MIUI interface has always looked quiet awesome and calming to the eyes; the clear view of it’s and bright looking UI makes Xperia look, even handsome. As the ROM is based on AOSP, the experience should be great. Reviews say, it’s been a wonderful work carried out and accomplished by hemo1001 – member @ XDA.
