Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 Smartphone users can now update their Galaxy S2 over-the-air or via using Kies app on Windows OS or on others. Currently I am using samsung galaxy s2 GT19100 in india. The phone is purchased from Saudi Arabia. Current android version is 2.3.5. I am not getting any OS updates through kies or through the phone itself. Is it possible for me to upgrade my OS through Kies in India itself or do i have to follow manual installation???

I will suggest you to wait for some more weeks as Jelly Bean for Galaxy s2 is only available in Spain and China till now. In India you can expect JellyBean for Galaxy s2 in Mid March. Consider manual update as second option.

My phone right now is unrooted and running official ics firmware. I read somewhere on a post that mannual update is same as keeping a custom ROM in the phone which needs rooting your device.
I have never rooted my phone and dont want to.

hi, yesterday morning i recived notification, on my GT-N7000 ( ATO open austria), there is an softvare update. i wasnt near wi-fi network so i choose later. Same day at evening I got wi-fi network but when I try update phone says there is no update avaliable.
Any sugestions why is this hapened?
